Imperial College, London
The two main lecture theatres are heavily used and required refurbishment, an opportunity to carry out the works was identified in the Easter break when the students were away.
The project required the removal, refurbishment and recovering to all of the seating, all the writing benches were removed to allow for the carpet to be removed and replaced, including improved nosing’s to all stepped areas.
New decoration and acoustic treatments were installed and high-level deep cleaning took place without the hindrance of the seating and writing benches being in place.
All breakout areas were decorated and new carpeting laid to further enhance the refurbished lecture theatres.
The programme dictated that the works were carried out on a rolling 24 hour programme.
